The Achatina fulica Albino Jade is a stunning morph of the giant African land snail species, featuring a pale body and unique brown-toned shell. Native to East Africa, this gentle species is widely kept as a pet for its calm temperament and minimal care needs
BASIC CARE INFORMATION
• Temperature & Humidity: Maintain 21–24 °C and 60–70% humidity. Use a thermostatic heat mat during cooler months.
• Housing: Provide a secure, well-ventilated tank with deep, moisture-retentive substrate such as coir or peat-free compost.
• Diet: Offer varied leafy greens, vegetables, occasional fruit, plus a calcium source (such as cuttlefish bone or crushed eggshells). Plus protein e.g. fish flakes/ raw meat
• Enrichment: Include small water bowls and sphagnum moss to boost humidity.
• Growth: Albino Jade juveniles reach adult size in about 6–12 months, with a lifespan of 5–6 years under good care.
• Care Tips: Spot-clean daily and deep-clean the enclosure monthly to prevent mould and mites.
