Snail of the Week: The Fulica Snail 

Welcome to this week’s edition of Snail of the Week on http://Snails4you.com! This week, we’re shining the spotlight on the fascinating Fulica snail!

Characteristics

One of the most common and often a beginner snail - these make a great start into your journey of snail keeping. They are a relatively easy species and quite a hardy species and prolific egg layer.

Habitat

They enjoy a tank made of glass or plastic with a temp of 21-24 degrees and medium humidity. They need a constant supply of cuttlefish and enjoy haivng moss, flower pots, tree branches to explore. They also appreiate though not needed, a shallow water dish to drink and bathe from. 

Diet

They will quite happily eat a wide range of all fruit and veg, anything except from the onion or citrus family. They also need protein twice a week in the form of fish flakes or raw meat or raw egg.
